Comprised of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, and Joey Kramer, Aerosmith has been a force to be reckoned with on the music scene. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1973, which found minor success with the single "Dream On". Get Your Wings, the follow-up album to Aerosmith, continued the band's success; however, it was 1975's Toys in the Attic that brought Aerosmith international attention. Featuring such hit singles as "Sweet Emotion", "Walk This Way", and a re-release of "Dream On", it established the band's staying power, even causing their previous albums to resurface on the charts. It remains the band's best-selling album. The next year found Aerosmith continuing their history of success, with the album Rocks quickly going platinum in sales and spawning two hit singles, "Back in the Saddle" and "Last Child".

As their popularity grew, however, so did the pressure of being rock stars. Many of the band's members got caught up in substance abuse and drug addiction, resulting in guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford leaving the band. Luckily, the boys of Aerosmith were able to clean up their act, and Perry and Whitford rejoined the band in 1984. The next few years found Aerosmith touring the United States, collaborating with hip-hop legends Run D.M.C. for a cover of "Walk This Way", and releasing several new albums. They found major success in 1987 with the release of Permanent Vacation, which produced the hit singles "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)", "Rag Doll", and "Angel", all of which reached top twenty status. The album quickly became their best selling release in decades; that is, until the 1989 release of Pump. Pump earned Aerosmith their first Grammy award with the single "Janie's Got a Gun" and sold over seven million copies, helping the band regain their rock-god status and boosting Aerosmith concert ticket sales to new heights.

The 1990s found Aerosmith moving more toward a pop sound with their release of Get a Grip. The album featured the ballads "Cryin'", "Crazy", and "Amazing", all of which were unimpressive to the critics but highly successful in the commercial sense, getting heavy airplay on the radio and on MTV and making Aerosmith tickets one of the top selling concert tickets of the year. In the midst of touring, the group found time in 1998 to contribute the smash single "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" to the soundtrack of the blockbuster flick Armageddon, in which Tyler's daughter starred. "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" was Aerosmith's only number one single and their biggest success to date. Their thirteenth studio album, Just Push Play, was released in 2001 and met with immense success. Shortly after, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band continues to tour the United States, providing fans with Aerosmith tickets the high-energy performances to which they have become accustomed.
